Councillor Doug McMurdo
Chairman
Doug is Chair of the Local Authority Pension Fund Forum and a member of the Bedfordshire Pension Fund. He is also the Ward Councillor for Sharnbrook Ward representing six rural communities in north Bedfordshire.
Councillor Rob Chapman
Vice-chair
Rob is Cabinet Member for Finance and Chair of the Pension Committee at LB Hackney. He has previously held positions as Chair of Hackney’s Governance and Resources Scrutiny Commission and as its Chief Whip. Hackney’s representative on the London Collective Investment Vehicle (CIV) Sectoral Committee since 2014, he now sits as its Vice Chair on the CIV Shareholder’s Committee.
Councillor John Gray

Cllr Gray has represented West Ham ward in Newham, East London, since 2010. He is the Cabinet Lead for Housing Services and the Deputy Mayor (Statutory). He is a member of the Newham Pension Committee, a Trade Union appointed member of the Tower Hamlets Pension Board and a Trustee of the UNISON Staff Pension Scheme (and Chair of its Investment sub-committee). His background is in front line Social Housing management.
Councillor Yvonne Johnson

Yvonne is the chair of the Shareholder committee of the LCIV. Cabinet member in Ealing for Schools and Children’s services and deputy leader of the council. Member of the Scheme Advisory Board where she chairs the Investment governance and engagement committee.
Councillor Eddie Pope

Eddie is a Lancashire County Councillor representing three rural parishes in West Lancashire. He is an Accountant having worked in the NHS and Higher Education and is Chairman of the Lancashire County Council Pension Fund.
Rachel Brothwood

Rachel Brothwood is Director of Pensions at the West Midlands Pension Fund and has been appointed as Hon Treasurer for LAPFF. A qualified Actuary, Rachel joined the WMPF in 2015 having previously worked with a wide range of organisations, advising on risk management in pension scheme funding and investment.
Tom Harrington

Tom is the Assistant Director (Investments) of the Greater Manchester Pension Fund, the largest LGPS fund in the UK. GMPF is administered by Tameside MBC, where Tom began his career as a trainee accountant.
Councillor Ged Cooney
Executive
Gerald is Vice Deputy of Greater Manchester Pension Fund, Chair of the Northern LGPS Fund and the leader of Tameside Council. In Tameside he represents the Droylsden West Ward and is also Executive Member for Economic Growth, Employment and Housing.
Sian Kunert
Executive
Sian is Head of Pensions at the East Sussex Pension Fund. A qualified CIPFA accountant with numerous years’ experience working within LGPS funds and pools.
Councillor Mark Norris
Executive
Cllr Mark Norris has represented the Cwm Clydach Ward since 2004, is the Cabinet Member for Development and Regeneration in Rhondda Cynon Taf Council and Chair of the RCT Pension Fund Committee. He sits on the Joint Governance Committee and has previously held the position as Chair of the Wales Pension Partnership. Previously Mark has worked in Parliament and has been a Civil Servant for over 30 years in HMRC; The Welsh Office and DWP.
Councillor Heather Johnson

Heather grew up and was educated in Camden and worked in the advice sector, concentrating on housing and welfare rights. First elected in 1994 and representing Regent’s Park since 2002, she has undertaken roles including Committee and Scrutiny Chairs, Cabinet member and twice as Mayor, she currently Chairs Planning and is Vice-Chair of Pensions. Heather is active in local community groups seeking to improve the health and life chances of residents, and Chairs the Edward Harvist Trust which provides local charitable funding. She also represents Camden on the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority.
Euan Miller
Executive
Euan is the Managing Director at West Yorkshire Pension Fund (‘WYPF’), which has approximately £17bn of assets and 300,000 members. WYPF also manages shared service administration arrangements for a number of other LGPS funds and fire services. Euan contributes to a number of industry groups, both in the LGPS and wider pensions market. These include being a member of the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association’s Policy Board and Local Authority Committee.
Councillor Toby Simon

Cllr Simon had previously served on the LAPFF Executive for 7 years until 2018 as Chair of the LB Enfield PF. He has now now moved and been elected as a member of Bath & NE Somerset Council, the AA for Avon PF.
Councillor George Jabbour
Executive
George is the Chair of the Joint Committee of the Border to Coast Pensions Partnership. He previously worked at Goldman Sachs, started a financial business and was named as one of the UK’s rising stars in investment banking by Financial News before his election as a Councillor in North Yorkshire.
Laura Colliss
Executive
Laura has worked for the North East Scotland Pension Fund for 21 years, during that time her role has evolved from being responsible for the accounting function to include investments. From 2013 taking on responsibility for the entire Pension Fund as the Pension Fund Manager, including all aspects of service delivery. Laura is also an advisor to the Scottish Scheme Advisory Board and is part of the PLSA Scottish Group.
Councillor Paul Convery

Paul represents Caledonian ward in Islington where he has been the Pension Committee chair since 2019. He served as an Executive (Cabinet) member between 2010 and 2016 and currently also chairs the Borough's Audit and Risk committee. He is a social science graduate of Bristol University and has had a career in public policy research, strategy and analysis.
